Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PIKO mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by KeysPro AI FZCO ("KeysPro", "we", "us" or "our"), a company registered in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) Free Zone, United Arab Emirates, under DMCC Licence DMCC-1017161.

By downloading, accessing or using PIKO, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

PIKO lets you scan food and drink products, read their ingredients, and see a simple quality grade generated with the help of artificial intelligence and public food data. The Service is provided for general information only.

2. Not Medical, Health or Dietary Advice

PIKO does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary or professional advice, and product grades and information are for general information only. They are not a substitute for reading the actual product label or for advice from a qualified professional. Always check the physical packaging, especially if you have an allergy, intolerance, medical condition or other specific requirement. Do not rely on PIKO to make decisions about allergens or health. You use the information in PIKO at your own discretion and risk.

3. Accuracy of Information

Product information is drawn in part from third-party and community sources and may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. Grades are generated automatically and may not reflect your personal circumstances. We do not warrant that any product information, match or grade is accurate, complete or current.

4. AI-Generated Content

Parts of the Service, including product recognition, quality grades and chat answers, are generated with the help of artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or otherwise wrong, and does not constitute professional advice. You must independently verify AI-generated information before relying on it, and we disclaim liability arising from such reliance to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You must not use the AI features of the Service to generate harmful or unlawful content, to harass others, to send spam, to infringe intellectual property rights, or to attempt to bypass the Service's safeguards, rate limits or content restrictions.

5. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use the Service, and at least the minimum age required by your local law. The Service is not intended for children.

6. Your Account

You can use PIKO without signing in. If you create or link an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

7. Your Content

When you use the Service you may provide content such as photos of product labels, voice requests and chat messages ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content. By providing it, you grant KeysPro a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, transmit and display Your Content solely to operate, secure and improve the Service, including processing it with the AI and other providers described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights needed to provide it.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in violation of any law or these Terms;
  • interfere with, disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service except as permitted by law;
  • misuse cost-protected features, automate requests, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures;
  • use the Service to build a competing product or to resell our data.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding third-party and user-provided content), is owned by KeysPro AI FZCO and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

10. Third-Party Data and Attribution

PIKO uses product data from Open Food Facts, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL 1.0). Rights in that data remain with their respective owners and its use is subject to the ODbL. Your use of third-party data through the Service is subject to the applicable third-party terms and licences.

11. Third-Party Platforms

The Service is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your download and use of the app are also subject to the terms of the relevant platform. Those platforms are not responsible for the Service.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any information provided is accurate or reliable.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KeysPro AI FZCO and its officers, employees and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KeysPro AI FZCO from any claims, damages, liabilities and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

16. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, and, where relevant, the regulations of the DMCC Free Zone. The courts of Dubai will have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
